A personal project to design an app that helps remind users when to take their medication.

UI
I had the idea of designing this app after a family member underwent surgery. Once home, it was quite hard for them to keep track of what, when and how much medication they needed to take throughout each day. A lot to remember! It seemed like the ideal problem for technology to assist with.
After reading several reviews for similar apps it seemed that some people desired a stripped back app that didn’t try and be too clever. Some apps allow users to track symptoms as well and build reports and not everyone wants this, potentially creating an unnecessarily cluttered UI. Furthermore, some people wanted more flexibility when setting reminders, not just at regular intervals.
Specifically, I wanted to tackle the section of the app where users set their reminders. I wanted this to be highly flexible to accommodate all types of medication and user but also be as straightforward to use as possible.
The below mockups demonstrate several screens from the user flow starting with signing in to setting a reminder.
